Terms & Conditions

1. Scope of Services
Apple Mac Man (the “Service Provider”) provides specialized setup, configuration, and optimization services for Apple hardware and software. This includes, but is not limited to, new device configuration, iCloud optimization, security audits, and the installation of local Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.
2. Local AI & Data Sovereignty
- Privacy First: All AI tools (such as OpenClaw, Ollama, or local LLMs) are configured to run locally on the Client’s hardware. The Service Provider does not host, store, or have access to any data processed by these models once the initial setup is complete.
- No Data Mining: Your data remains on your machine. The Service Provider will never configure tools to send your private files to third-party training sets without your explicit, written consent.
3. AI Security & API Management
- Client API Keys: If the Client chooses to use hybrid cloud-local features (e.g., OpenAI or Anthropic integrations), the Client is solely responsible for the security and billing of their own API keys.
- Credential Protection: The Service Provider will assist in the initial secure storage of these keys but will not retain copies of them.
- AI Output: The Service Provider is not liable for the accuracy, reliability, or safety of “hallucinations” (errors) produced by AI models. AI outputs should never be used as a substitute for professional, legal, or medical advice.
4. Third-Party & Open-Source Software
- Software Risks: The Service Provider utilizes high-quality open-source tools (e.g., OpenClaw, Homebrew, etc.) to deliver advanced features. The Service Provider is not the developer of these tools and is not liable for bugs, security vulnerabilities, or service interruptions caused by these third-party developers.
- Updates: While the Service Provider will ensure the software is stable at the time of installation, the Client is responsible for running future updates unless an ongoing maintenance plan is agreed upon.
5. Liability & Backups
- Data Integrity: It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure a full Time Machine or cloud backup is completed before the Service Provider begins work. The Service Provider is not liable for data loss occurring during the optimization process.
- Hardware Failures: Optimization and setup do not “fix” failing hardware. The Service Provider is not responsible for hardware failure that occurs during or after software configuration.
6. Professional Advice Disclaimer
The Service Provider provides technical configuration, not investment or financial advice. Any use of technology to monitor financial or cryptocurrency markets is done at the Client’s own risk.
