There may be hope! When your Mac doesn’t boot up, or strange clicking noises are heardit’s time to get it checked out for possible hard drive problems.

1. If you are at the desktop, immediately copy your most important data/pictures to an external sourceThis could be the last time your Mac comes on, so copy off the data whilst you can.

2. Do not keep turning your Mac on and off; that has never fixed a hard drive problem, and may make data recovery more difficult.

3. Do not run one of those “fix it” programs, as in my 20 years of experience, I’ve not found one that does what it says on the tin!, Often finding it has made data recovery more difficult.

4. Call and arrange an appointment ASAPWe are very flexible, and will respond to a Mac emergency at most hours of the day, with a quick turn round, often the same or next day.
